GIVING 2019 A LATE AND WARM WELCOME

I have just finished reading Holly Bourne's 'How Do You Like Me Now?' and I was so full of admiration for this book that I realised I hadn't written here for a while. A year to be precise. My life doesn't seem to have an off switch, it's been busy and I rarely get 5 minutes to stop and think, so what a better time to get back into writing here!

What has the last year been filled with? If I'm completely honest with you, a lot of confusion and trying to figure life out. I've moved house, finally found a job that suits me and learnt a lot about myself. Here are just a few things that I've been up to:
  • Seeing Come From Away in the West End (would definitely recommend!)
  • Saw State Champs live, finally!
  • Finished reading Jordan Petersons book 12 Rules For Life
  • Spent a few nights in Barcelona
  • Won some money in a pub quiz (this is a big deal, I know!)
  • Spent New Years with some good friends
  • Went to the Cheltenham Races for the first time
  • Rode a Camel
It kind of sums up a crazy year, lots of good experiences but also lots of experiences that I could learn from. For example, learning about how you don't have to see your good friends every 5 minutes to know that they still care. Or, that there is no substitute for enjoying your job.

This is only going to be a short post today, mostly because I'm not used to writing in the blog any more, but also because I want to leave you with a picture of me enjoying myself at the Cheltenham Races for my birthday. It's not the most flattering picture in the world, but it is certainly a good memory that is worth sharing.
